If you are looking for peace and serenity with amazing view. Deer Wood Manor is a beautiful spacious home on nearly an acre of forest within blocks of the University of Oregon, however close to many places. it is a short walk to the UO, Hayward Field, Matthew Knight Arena, Autzen Stadium, Beppe & Gianni's, McMenamin's, Sweet Life Petite Bakery, Prince Puckers, Agate Alley, Studio One. Market of Choice known for its Gourmet foods, and Hiron's Drug's and Novelties. Easy access to Freeways.

Good to know

Deer Wood Manor is the perfect place for family gatherings, such as Graduation, Weddings, Thanksgiving, Christmas and attending sporting and music events. A quiet and relaxing place where you can relax with your U of O student or just enjoy time with family and friends or even by yourself! A perfect place where multiple families can stay. Deer Wood Manor is located in the Fairmount area, in a beautiful neighborhood with parking and an outside eating area complete with a new barbecue. The view is most spectacular at sunset perfect for sitting and having a glass of wine with friends. The kitchen is well equipped and if we don't have it, you are welcome to ask for it! We have bought the most comfortable beds and furniture we could find. We have tried to imagine everything possible to make your stay feel like home or even better! Deer wood manner has four beautiful bedrooms. Three of the four bedrooms are on the main floor, there are no stairs to climb. bedrooms. Two have private bathrooms. On the lower level of the house there is a bedroom that if you let us know in advance it can be two twin beds or one Cal king, with a separate full bathroom with bathtub and a separate den with flat screen television and queen sleeper sofa, perfect for kids or teenagers.

There is so much to do in Eugene, OR. Saturday Market downtown in the summer months, farmer's markets, blocks from miles of riverside bike paths, gorgeous hikes and the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail, Skinner Butte Park, Hendrick's Park and only an hour from the gorgeous Oregon Coast. Sailing on Fern Ridge Reservoir, Kayaking or rafting the McKenzie River or exploring one of the many lakes and rivers close by, not to mention fishing! Hult Center for the Performing Arts, Museum of Natural and Cultural History, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, the Matthew Knight will feed your need for the arts. Eugene has some of the best beer, wine, wineries and whiskey tasting around in the US.

Neighborhood

We are at the base of Henrick's Park which is a great place for a quick hike. Quite residential neighborhood, that is walking distant to so many eating places. The house manual has a list of places for eating, drinking and shopping. However do not hesitate to contact Kathy or Savannah for suggestions.

Guest Access

You have access to the whole house and backyard. Great place to BBQ and enjoy the beautiful trees and flowers. Please note* our 4th bedroom is either two XL twin beds or it can be pushed together to become a King size bed, let us know which you perfect so we have it set up for you. Also 5th bedroom is the private den with flat screen television. It converts beautifully to another bedroom. Please Park in the car port only, leave spaces in front of the garages for the apt parking. There is a two bedroom Apt over the garage. They have their own backyard space.

Kathy's place was wonderful. We were three couples with three kids here for a family reunion -- plenty of room for us, with the kids staying downstairs and adults in beautiful bedrooms upstairs. Excellent kitchen well-stocked with high quality cooking equipment. Everything was clearly labelled and well-functioning. Outdoor grill was also excellent. Great outdoor space for eating dinner or just relaxing. Many deer, including four fawns! Conveniently located - walking distance to supermarket & parks. This place is definitely top of the list for our next family gathering.

Great place to stay. We could walk to Hayward Field from the house which was perfect for our team. Lots of rooms and lots of great places for the team to hang out. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved staying at this home. It is great for large groups as there are many nice rooms and living areas. The house is a great distance from UO if you are walking to campus. I plan to come back next time I’m in Eugene! Thank you Kathy!

My family flew out to Eugene to watch the Oregon Ducks (where my daughter went) play the Ohio State Buckeyes (where my son went). We had so much fun. The house was within walking distance of the stadium and the campus and was in such a peaceful setting (with deer showing up every day)! We were so comfortable in the house, the kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms had nice white fluffy towels. All in all, it was a great experience and Katy was a great host!!

The house was amazing! By far passed expectations. We went for a UofO 10-year reunion and the house was perfect for our group. Lots of space, bathrooms, and bedrooms/beds. Kathy was helpful and responsive before the trip as well as during. She left us a cute little basket of snacks and bottle of champagne. She also let us check in early to accommodate a member of our group who had to fly in early. Overall, a great weekend and the perfect house! Thanks again Kathy!

Beautiful and comfortable home with a well stocked kitchen. The location is very private yet so close to the University and shops and restaurants, we enjoyed seeing a mom and her two baby deer nestled in the redwoods right outside the living room window! Kathy is an excellent host and responded right away with any questions that came up.

Kathy’s place was the perfect spot for track and field athletes and coaches in town for NCAA’s. An easy walk to the track and a beautiful home. We would stay again!

Walking distances to Hayward Field, Knight stadium, and Autzen. Walking distance to Market of Choice, Wild Duck and campus. Great to use as a base location for trips to Florence, the McKenzie River, and Sisters.
